HOUSTON - The Houston Astros return to Minute Maid Park on Friday, September 28, for a three-game homestand against the Atlanta Braves (September 28-30). The Astros will honor Craig Biggio for his remarkable 20-year career Sunday, September 30.

Highlights of the homestand include: The Slags Pre-Game Concert (September 28 & 29); Craig Biggio-Themed Friday Night Fireworks (September 28); Astros in Action Foundation Biggio Auction (September 28 & 29), Coca-Cola Value Night (September 28); Minor League MVP Pre-Game Autograph Session (September 29); Post-Game Fireworks (September 29); 2008 Chevy Silverado Giveaway (September 29); Still Life Pre-Game Concert (September 30); and Woody's Winners (September 30). Several Astros giveaways will highlight the Astros final three-game homestand.


(SEPTEMBER 28-30) ATLANTA BRAVES: The Braves will visit Houston for the final time this season in a three-game series at Minute Maid Park. Games are set for Friday (September 28) at 7:05 p.m., Saturday (September 29) at 6:05 p.m., and Sunday (September 30) at 1:05 p.m. Pitching matchups are to be announced.


(SEPTEMBER 28 & 29) THE SLAGS PRE-GAME CONCERT: Friday, September 28, and Saturday, September 29, The Slags will be performing a free concert at the Conoco Home Run Pump located on the concourse level behind center field. The concert starts at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Slags' music covers a wide variety from the retro to today's most popular rock and dance hits. Come early to enjoy the pre-game festivities before the Astros take on the Braves Friday and Saturday night.

(SEPTEMBER 28) COCA-COLA VALUE NIGHT: Friday, September 28, is Coca-Cola Value Night. Every Friday home game throughout the regular season, fans can present one (1) coupon from a specially marked 24-pack of Coca-Cola Classic or Diet Coke at the Texas Avenue Box Office at Minute Maid Park or enter a special code online and pay $60 for the Value Nights pack (includes four (4) Mezzanine level tickets, four (4) hot dogs, four (4) Coca-Cola beverages, and two (2) Astros caps).

(SEPTEMBER 28 & 29) FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT FIREWORKS: Friday, September 28, the Astros will host a special post-game Craig Biggio-themed Friday Night Fireworks Show at Minute Maid Park, presented by Marathon Oil Corporation, weather permitting. This special event will be the final Friday Night Fireworks show of the 2007 season. Following the conclusion of Saturday's game, the Astros will host a special Saturday Night Fireworks show presented by Marathon Oil Corporation, weather permitting. Astros fans are invited to stay for the free fireworks show.

(SEPTEMBER 28 & 29) ASTROS IN ACTION FOUNDATION BIGGIO AUCTION: The Astros in Action Foundation and Tri-Star are teaming up Friday and Saturday night to bring a Craig Biggio Memorabilia Auction to Minute Maid Park. Tri-Star employees will be located behind home plate on the concourse level with various bats, balls, and equipment used by Biggio throughout his historic career with the Astros. Fans can observe the memorabilia or they have the opportunity to bid on the items. Following are some of the many Biggio items that will be featured in the auction: Autographed Astros Pinstripe Jersey with Inscriptions, Autographed 3,000 Hit Photo, Autographed Astros Batting Helmet with Inscription, Autographed 3,000 Hit Club Engraved Major League Baseball with Display Case and Autographed Action Photo. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Astros in Action Foundation with a portion of the proceeds going to the Sunshine Kids Foundation.

(SEPTEMBER 29) MINOR LEAGUE MVP AUTOGRAPHS: The Most Valuable Player from each of the Astros six minor league affiliates will be at Minute Maid Park Saturday, September 29. Astros fans will have the opportunity to meet and receive autographs from the minor league MVPs from 5:00 - 5:30 p.m. on the concourse level behind home plate. This year's Minor League MVPs include Round Rock Express infielder Cody Ransom, Corpus Christi Hooks outfielder Ray Sadler, Salem Avalanche outfielder Mitch Einertson, Lexington Legends outfielder Jordan Parraz, Tri-City ValleyCats outfielder Brandon Barnes, Greeneville Astros right-handed pitcher Leandro Cespedes, right-handed pitcher Henry Villar of the Dominican Summer League Astros, and infielder Jhonny Medrano of the Venezuelan Summer League Astros. This is a great opportunity for Astros fans to meet the next up-and-comers of the franchise.

(SEPTEMBER 29) 2008 CHEVY SILVERADO TRUCK GIVEAWAY: Following the post-game fireworks, seven lucky Astros fans will be chosen at random to participate in a Chevy Silverado Truck Giveaway. The seven fans will be asked seven questions to test their knowledge of Astros second baseman, No. "7" Craig Biggio. Once the fans have answered, Biggio will reveal the answer on the jumbo-tron. Starting at third base, the fans will move closer to home plate with each correct answer. The Astros fan that is the closest to home plate at the end of the Biggio Trivia Contest will win a 2008 Chevy Silverado retailing at $39,154.

(SEPTEMBER 30) STILL LIFE PREGAME CONCERT: Sunday, September 30, Still Life will be performing a free concert at the Conoco Pump. The concert starts at 11:30 a.m. All fans with a ticket to the game are welcome to attend. Still Life is a band comprised of members from all parts of the United States. Three band members are from Chicago, one is from New York and the lead singer is from Houston. Their CD "Beautiful Again" was released in February 2006. Under Producer Randy Miller (three Grammys, one Latin Grammy, and 14 Grammy Nominations), the band Still Life has a sound that has been compared with Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows, Matchbox 20 and Tonic.

(SEPTEMBER 30) WOODY'S WINNERS: Astros pitcher Woody Williams, in conjunction with Special Olympics Houston, will be hosting Woody's Winners before Sunday's 1:05 p.m. home game. Williams will meet with and sign autographs for 15 athletes from the Special Olympics Houston organization. Williams is also providing the Special Olympians with tickets and food vouchers for Sunday afternoon's game. This Sunday's Woody's Winners will be the final Woody's Winners event of the season.

Be one of the first to see inside the Astros Clubhouse. The Houston Astros Tour Department is now offering fans an inside look at the Houston Astros Clubhouse. Fans of all ages can visit the Astros Locker Room while making stops at the Training Room, Weight Room and Batting Cage facility. This is the first time fans have had access to the Astros Clubhouse since the ballpark first opened in 2000. Be one of the first to be part of this ultimate fan experience. This tour is limited to the first 75 people at each timeslot and tickets must be purchased in advance online at

The Astros also offer public tours of Minute Maid Park, allowing visitors to enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the downtown ballpark. Fans are invited to take tours on a walk-up basis or through a private reserved group for parties of 25 or more. Educational tours are also available for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Tours run Monday through Saturday, with three tours daily at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. The tour schedule changes on days of evening home games with the addition of a fourth tour, the Early Bird Tour, offered one hour prior to gates opening. Tickets for Astros games are available on the Internet at Tickets are also available at the Minute Maid Park Box Office on Texas Avenue, which is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. On game days, the box office opens at 8:30 a.m. during the week and 9:00 a.m. on weekends and remains open until 30 minutes after the final out.
